DECAF - Elias Roa Parra - Genesis Microlot

Elias Roa is a legendary producer in Huila, Colombia with farms in the subregions of Pital and Acevedo. He was one of the founding members and President of Asociacion Primaveral in Acevedo. These farms are a family affair. His wife Bellanid, son-in-law Diego Campos (Colombia Barista Champion), and daughter Derlin are all involved in coffee production here. 

Finca Tamana in Pital is planted with many different heirloom varieties, including some with African lineage. Elias utilizes dry fermentation for roughly 14-16 hours, followed by several washes with fresh water. The coffee is then transferred to raised beds for slow, meticulous drying.
